You will need to highlight four important areas in your Grad Transitions package.
- Physical Activity: 80 hours of physical activity throughout grades 11 & 12. Ways to do this:
- DPA: Free Student Tracker (a great way to log hours) on Learn Now BC.
- Individual log sheet showing dates, times and activities.
- Proof of completing PE 11, PE 12, Superfit or Volleyball during grade 11 and/or 12.
- Physical Activity: Plans for staying fit/active after graduation. Ways to do this:
- Write about it
- Create a Summer and Winter weekly schedule
- Get pamphlets (yoga studio, golf course, Activities Guide, Ski Hill etc.)
- I know we keep saying this, but get creative on how you share this info with us.
- Show us what you know about healthy eating. Ways to demonstrate this:
- Click on the Canada Food Guide and print off individualized food guide
- write a paragraph explaining details of your personal food guide OR
- prepare a meal plan that meets the expectations of your food guide and show how your meal plan meets the requirements in your Canada Food Guide.
- Your own personal food plan (this is a good option for athletes, vegetarians, or anyone who has a specific plan they follow)
- Be prepared to explain your plan and how it meets your specific requirements
- How do you manage stress? Ways to demonstrate this:
- Write about it
- Show pictures
- Stress quiz
- Wordle
- List some useful websites
