Money, money, money, money....money!
You will need to include a budget in your portfolio.
There are all kinds of templates online (pick one that works for you):
a) Google "Budget Template" or "Post Secondary Budget Template"
b) Try this link from the Government of Canada Website
c) Many post-secondary schools have budget tools on their website
c) There are also excellent templates in Word.
The key thing with your budget is to be realistic. Talk with your parents, go online to the post-secondary websites, talk with the post-secondary reps, check in with your travel agent...gather information.
We can give you some tips as well, but we also encourage you to apply for scholarships. We are very lucky in Revelstoke - we give out over $60,000 each year in scholarships, but you need to apply. Check out the Scholarship Blog on our school website.
